For Manual configuration on mobile phones with mtn network, follow the procedures below.

1. GO TO SETTINGS -- CONFIGURATION -- PERSONAL CONFIGURATION SETTINGS
2. CLICK ADD NEW (web) -- · ACCOUNT NAME: MTN - HOME PAGE: wapmtnonline.com
3. USERNAME AND PASSWORD: web -- · USE PREFFERED ACCESS POINT SETTINGS: no
4. GO TO ACCESS POINT SETTINGS -- PROXY: ENABLED
5. PROXY ADDRESS: 10.199.212.2 -- PROXY PORT: 8080
6. DATA BEARER: packet data --
7. BEARER SETTINGS -- PACKET DATA ACCESS POINT: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
8. NETWORK TYPE: IPV4 -- AUTHENTICATION TYPE: Normal
9. USERNAME AND PASSWORD: web

After that, do the following again.

1. GO TO SETTINGS -- CONFIGURATION -- PERSONAL CONFIGURATION SETTINGS
2. CLICK ADD NEW (Access Point) -- · ACCOUNT NAME: MTN GPRS
3. GO TO ACCESS POINT SETTINGS
4. DATA BEARER: packet data
5. BEARER SETTINGS -- PACKET DATA ACCESS POINT: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
6. NETWORK TYPE: IPV4 -- AUTHENTIFICATION TYPE: Normal
7. USERNAME AND PASSWORD: web
