htc popularly called HARD TO CONTROL is a phone with many features but its hard to configure when it comes to the browsing aspect. i have received my questions like
1.hi, how do i configure settings for mtn manually on my htc legend. ive tried including all the settings from mtn site APN, IP etc but it still isnt browsing. pls help out,
there are fields like port,server,mms proxy, mms port, mms protocol, MMC, MNC, APN type that i dont know what to put in there.
answer : you dont need all those mms port etc. to configure it for browsing!
2.how can i manually configure gprs on my htc wildfire mtn plsş
answer: u will know how to configure htc wildfire now
HOW TO CONFIGURE HTC MANUALLY FOR MTN
Under "settings" select "cellular" and scroll to the bottom and click on the "edit apn" button and fill out the field with the settings you got from mtn. If you have already activated ur data plan then you should be able to browse the moment you browse away from that page.
just edit the APN as web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net & USERNAME n PASSWORD as web
leave the other options blank, save and exit.
you may need to switch off n on our fone and also ensure u have subscribed to a data plan
OR
Windows Mobile Phones
APN: Go to SETTINGS, MENU, CONNECTIONS, MY WORK NETWORK, ADD A NEW MODEM CONNECTION, NAME (any), select a MODEM (choose CELLULAR LINE or GPRS), click FINISH.
Proxy and Port: Go to MANAGE YOUR EXISTING CONNECTION, click PROXY SETTINGS.
NOTE: If PROXY PORT NUMBER is missing you can add PORT by adding a colon after the PROXY SERVER ADDRESS
